Itinerary for Arunachal Tour From Kolkata
Day 1 Guwahati - Bhalukpong :250 Kms / 5 Hours
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway station. Transfer to Bhalukpong, a town on the Assam - Arunachal Pradesh border & overnight stay.
Day 02: Bhalukpong To Dirang
After breakfast, transfer to Dirang. En route, we visit Orchid Sanctuary at Tippy where more than 500 different species are available. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Dirang To Tawang
After breakfast, transfer to Tawang. En route, we cross Sela Pass, the Highest Motorable Road in Eastern Himalayas at about 14000ft above Sea level, and Jaswant Garh (China – Indo War Memorial). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Tawang
After breakfast, we visit Tawang Monastery, the 400yrs old, 6th birthplace of Holy Highness Dalai Lama, Local Market, Craft Centre, and Ani Gompa (Nanery). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Day Excursion to Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake
On this day we will move out for Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake. We will assist you to hire a local syndicate cab for your trip. You can negotiate the car hire charges on your own. Return back to Tawang for a night's stay.
Day 06 : Tawang to Bomdila - 180 kms / 6 hrs
Morning drive back to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys, and Himalayan landscapes. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 07: Bomdila - Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Rest free at leisure. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 08: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport / Railway Station for your return journey with Sweet Memories.

Arunachal Pradesh attained its statehood on 20th February 1987. It is situated in the North-Eastern part of India with 83743 sq. kms area and has a long international border with Bhutan to the west (160 km), China to the north and north-east (1,080 km) and Myanmar to the east (440 km). It stretches from snow-capped mountains in the north to the plains of Brahmaputra valley in the south. Arunachal is the largest state area-wise in the north-east region, even larger than Assam which is the most populous. The visitor has a wide variety of options to pick from. There are places of worship and piligrimage such as Parasuramkund and 400 years old Tawang Monastery, or the sites of archeological excavations like Malinithan and Itanagar, the serene beauty of lakes such as Ganga lake or Sela lake or the numerous variations of scenic beauty of the snowclad silver mountain peaks and lush green meadows where thousands of species of flora and fauna prosper. In addition, the state provides abundant scope for angling, boating, rafting, trekking and hiking. Besides, there are a number of wild life sanctuaries and national parks where rare animals, birds and plants will fascinate the visitor.

By Flight : The nearest airport is Tezpur. It is only 52 kms. away from Bhalukpong (the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh). The travel time is 1 hour. It will be more convenient to fly to Guwahati International Airport as the connections are much more. It is 218 kms. away from Bhalukpong and takes 5 hours’ time to reach there.
By Train : The nearest railway station is Tezpur. It is only 62 kms. away from Bhalukpong (the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh). The travel time is 1 hour 30 mins. The most convenient way to reach Bhalukpong is from Guwahati Railway Station as the connections are much more. It is 235 kms. away from Bhalukpong and takes 5 hours’ time to reach there.
