Sittong is actually a collection of settlements in the Kurseong sector of the Darjeeling district, similar to "Khasmahal." The elevation of Sittong, also known as Sitong, is approximately 4000 feet, however it varies from lower to upper Sittong in various locations. The closest town to Sittong is Kurseong Town, which is 24 km away and can be reached by automobile in around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
